Why did you start your beer blog?
I found that the world of craft beer blogging & reviewing can be very intimidating. I'm an average Joe and I wanted to help bring craft beer to people who might otherwise not try it. I write my beer reviews in layman's terms. I love learning the details as I go, but it is also my goal to keep writing in a way that is relateable to the masses (regardless of how much beer knowledge I acquired).
What do you cover in your blog?
I post mainly beer reviews. I usually do 3-4 reviews per week. I also host guest reviews. I love getting guest reviews from people who have never blogged or who have never reviewed craft beer. I have periodic beer-related contests and other interactive features such as: adding to my beer shopping list and voting in polls. Readers can always check out the "What's in my Fridge - Queued Up!" section of the site to find out what's currently "on-tap".
Advice
- Just do it.
- Don't be afraid to be "wrong".
- Take plenty of pictures.
