Why did you start your beer blog?
Beersurfing finds strange beers in strange places so you don't have to. If you find yourself stranded and thirsty in a new place, Beersurfing will point you in the right direction by giving you a list of places to get a drink. We host a database of over 10000 bars, breweries, and liquor stores and some 100,000 beers.
What do you cover in your blog?
The blog almost exclusively covers beer reviews at this point, though we also blog about tasty beer found in strange places. For instance, I visited Calgary this summer and wrote about every beer I drank and where I drank it, while Beersurfing's other half did the same while backpacking through Italy.
Advice
- We've made enough in the first year to buy one pitcher of beer at my favorite local brewery - don't expect to make money with Adsense, at least not right away.
- If you delay launch until the site is perfect, you will never launch
