Hybrid Styles

Hybrids are neither completely ales nor lagers. In many cases they are like the missing link between lagers and ales. The brewing methods used to make them are not much different by some employed by early German lager brewers. For this reason I consider these "hybrids" to really be forms of lager. You'll find information about kolsch and California common or steam beer here including tasting notes, style history and examples of some of the best brews available.
Hybrid Beer Styles
Neither lagers nor ales, these unusual beers share characteristics of both. Get to know hybrid beers here.
