The Black and Belgian

By Bryce Eddings, About.com

This is a delightful twist on the traditional black and tan. But instead of a meaty beer with stout and pale ale sharing equal time, this recipe puts chocolate stout with tart fruited lambics together for a drink both delicious and complex that could rival any dessert.

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate Stout
  • Fruited Lambic

Preparation:

This is an especially attractive drink in a champagne flute but really any clear glass will do.

Fill the glass half-way with your favorite fruited lambic. Any one will do but I recommend trying this first with Framboise.

Gently top it off with the stout. The stout will float on top of the lambic for a very eye-catching drink.

Inspired by the Black and Red from Bailey's Chocolate Bar.
