The Bottom Line
Before we get into this review I should probably admit to you that I'm a huge honey lover so my judgment may be a little skewed. I put honey on any bread like substance that finds it's way in my direction and I tend to eat straight out of the jar when no one is around.
Pros
- Mmm, Honey!
Cons
- Not very wheat-beer like
Description
- Big ol' slice of honey
- Few wheat beer characteristics
- Unusual but very enjoyable
Guide Review - Beer Tasting Notes and Review for Michelob Honey Wheat
Honey is clearly evident from the moment you pop the top on this beer. The smell of Michelob Honey Wheat is very strong honey. The nose is sweet with heavy floral honey. The body is straw colored and clear with a dense, medium head. The first sip reveals a medium mouthfeel with strong honey flavor. No hops are evident throughout.Mead lovers - please don't mistake my assessment of this beer. It tastes nothing like a mead or a braggot. It is more like an American wheat beer with honey added after fermentation.
