Guide Review - Tasting Notes and Review of Swashbuckler's Oktoberfest
Would that all Oktoberfests had as much flavor as this. As the seasonal style catches on it is often interpretted as a slightly browner and less hoppy version of Pilsner. This Oktoberfest fills the mouth with malty goodness with hints of apples and figs on the edges. The very end of the drink delivers a very nice, hoppy snap that punctuates not dominates the rich, malt quality of this beer.
