Guide Review - Sleeman Porter 68 - Tasting Notes and Review of Sleeman Porter 68

Sleeman's Porter is very dark amber. Though the beer is clear, it is so dark it appears black in the glass. The head is thick, brown and rocky. The nose is full and malty with hints of chocolate and apples. It has a silky mouthfeel and full flavor dominated by bitterness from black barley. There are hints of malty sweetness but the flavor of very dark roasted grains takes center stage. There is no noticeable hoppiness.
