The Bottom Line
Seirra Nevada can be counted on to make consistently good beers. They can also be counted on to make hoppy beers. This one is pretty tame compared to their others, hoppiness-wise, but it is still heavy for the style.
Pros
Cons
- Hopped like an ale, brewed as a lager
Description
- Plenty of character but still a great summer beer
- Hoppy

Guide Review - Tasting Notes and Review of Sierra Nevada Summerfest
Summerfest pours very clear and very light yellow. The average head falls rather soon but the beer leaves decent quilting down the side of the glass as you drink it. The nose it subtle with a deceptively nice mix of malt and hops. The taste is sweet for just a moment then hops takes over. Though certainly not overwhelming, the hoppiness is dominant and fairly heavy for the style. The beer really fills the mouth and, though still nice and refreshing, feels heavy.
