Guide Review - Tasting Notes and Review of Samuel Adams Longshot Dortmunder Export

Dortmunder Export pours with a medium, white head. The body is crystal clear and honey colored. The nose is very nice with notes of honey and subtle, floral hops. The first taste fills the mouth with round flavors and a markedly smooth mouthfeel. What starts as a sweet, grainy flavor is slowly overwhelmed by a creeping bitterness that eventually dominates. The second drink emphasizes this bitterness which, though balanced by the malt, certainly dominates. Overall, this is a very satisfying beer and would make a great accompaniment to any meal.
