The Bottom Line

Harbin is part of Anheuser-Busch's ever growing international portfolio. It has an elaborate packaging and presentation. For more about that, check out AB's press release. But this is a tasting so let's get to it. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this lager. I haven't found very many Chinese brewed beers with the character and complexity to hold my attention but this one certainly does.
Pros
  • Nice Pilsner
  • Well balanced
Cons
  • A bit sweet but still well balanced

Description

Guide Review - Tasting Notes and Review of Harbin Lager

Harbin pours clear and honey colored in the glass. It has a medium white head and a very nice nose full of spicy hops and malt. The flavor tends toward sweetness but there is enough hops in it to keep that under control. It finishes with a really nice lager snap. For a Pilsner this brew has a fair amount of depth and character.
