Guide Review - Bell's Kalamazoo Stout - Beer Panel Tasting Notes for Bell's Kalamazoo Stout
There was no question regarding the color of this beer - dark, dark, dark as one taster put it. Most panelist detected no or very little aroma. Those that did find something to wrap their noses around reported notes of spice, yeast, chocolate, malt and husk. The flavor was described as coffee, chocolate, burnt, heavy, dry, and malty. Some noted a coffee finish. A couple of dissenters found it far to bitter, one admitting that this beer was "too manly for me."
