The Bottom Line
I am generally pretty liberal in what I'll call beer but this brew crosses the line for me. It is from beginning to end a fruity adult beverage and belongs in the alcopop category.
Pros
- Tangy, fruity, intersting
Cons
Description
- Fruity and tangy
- Pink head!
- 8% abv
Guide Review - Wild Dawg Wild Blue Blueberry Lager by Anheuser-Busch
The head on this beer is pink! Pink, I tell you! Other than that it's medium and thick but it's also pink! Anyway, the beer is a dark violet but still quite clear. It's nose is packed with tart sweetness with a hint of generic grainy beeriness lurking beneath. All perceived characteristics of beer disappear with the first sip. Drinking this pink headed brew is somewhere between sipping those fruity syrups that they used to serve at IHOP (do they still do that?) and carbonated cough medicine. I imagine that a large number of summer-time sippers will like this beverage but it will not be for its qualities as a beer.
