Why Do You Drink Beer?

Wednesday July 9, 2008
“Chipper” Dave Butler, the Northern Colorado Beer Examiner over at examiner.com, posted an interesting little piece about why one would drink beer. The reasons range from taste to the buzz to the nutrition found in beer. I can’t really claim to have ever popped open a bottle specifically to help my heart although it’s a handy excuse but I have honestly employed every one of the other reasons listed at one time or another.

But what’s my main motivation? Probably variety. Nothing gets me quite so excited (about beer, that is) than coming across a brand or brewer that I’ve never heard of or tried.

How about you? Let’s take a poll. (In the interest of giving credit where credit is due I lifted the choices in this poll straight from Dave's list with just a few alternations.)

After you're done voting here check out my beer polls page and let your voice be heard on other pressing beer issues.
