Beer and Turkey
Thursday November 15, 2007
For my US readers the stuff-yer-face holiday, Thanksgiving, is just a week away. Again this year I join with the Brewers Association in encouraging you to serve good beer with your holiday meals. The flavors and variety of beer makes it the best choice for serving with a meal that has so many different dishes and tastes as the traditional Thanksgiving feast.
While it’s almost impossible to choose a wine that works with every dish on the holiday table, it’s virtually impossible to choose a beer that doesn’t at least work with all of those dishes. And there are some beers out there that can take that meal soaring to new heights. For more information about pairing beer and the turkey table check out the Brewers Association’s Craft Beer & Food For the Holidays or my Holiday Dinner Pairing.

For upcoming Thanksgiving, our turkey dinner, instead of wine or maybe with wine … Anchor Steam Beer and the seasonal Christmas Ale.
