Pizza Beer

Wednesday May 16, 2007
Homebrewers are willing to try anything. If something has flavor, aroma or fermentable sugar you can be sure that some homebrewer somewhere has thrown it into a beer. Besides the chance that one of these strange brews might be a really great beer, there are some perverse bragging rights involved in coming up with the most unexpected or complicated concoction. Upping the ante for all of us, Tom Seefurth of St. Charles, IL has come up with a recipe for pizza beer. What do you think, too much or is this just the beer you've been looking for?

But Tom isn't content to let his beer remain a homebrewer's curiosity. He's convinced that this is just the beer that the commercial beer market needs. Besides the beer, he's developed some interesting cheeses.

I guess I would have to try it but it sounds positively hideous! I like beer and I like pizza but don’t know if I’m ready to have them served together in one big glass.

“Too many garden tomatoes cooked up the idea for pizza beer last year.”

Too many garden tomatoes? Sounds like too many brewskis to me.

You guys would be shocked at what Tom can do. He’s been my real estate guy, sharing various concoctions and recipes for sauces etc for the last 13+ years and I can bet this beer is phenomenal. Will hopefully get to try it myself soon.

Just wait…… More to come! Put it to the test again with some people we did not know. They were all asking for more!
