Name a beer whose story includes with Pete Slossberg (of Pete’s Wicked), Huggy Bear, and Bill Clinton. Give up? It’s the Harlem Brewing Company.
This is the kind of story that I love reading and there are so many of them in the beer industry. Celeste Beatty loves beer. She took her love and passion to Europe, Central America and Africa to study the regional brewing methods. Then, after a few false starts, she got the Harlem Brewing Company off of the ground selling around 3000 cases last year. She is looking to triple or better that in the coming years.
It’s a small start and I wish her all the luck. Has anyone tried her Sugar Hill Golden Ale? I’d love to see your tasting notes!
