Today’s recipe comes from About’s Italian Food guide. (He once recommended Teo Musso’s Baladin, a beer he describes as wonderful stuff. I haven’t had a chance to hunt any down but I’m looking forward to it. Has anyone tried it? Please share your tasting notes!) The recipes that he’s submitted are rich and full of flavor so they deserve a beer that is at least their equal. To that end I suggest Fuller’s ESB. Rich and malty, this beer is one of my favorite British brews.
Recipe Exchange- Picnic Recipes
Our Guide to Italian Food has a wonderful picnic recipe for Rice Salad which is one of those classic summer dishes that varies greatly from cook to cook. It is made with cheese, olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, peas, tuna or ham and that’s only the beginning! And for another Italian picnic recipe try these Bowties With Chicken and Beans in a Spicy Sauce with tomatoes, onions and peppers which is a nice example of modern Italian cuisine.
